Overview:
The Network Composer EX550 is a powerful appliance designed to control your organization’s converged Internet traffic. It is loaded with powerful engines that combine visibility, analysis, and reporting to provide a comprehensive Secure Web Gateway. Our custom hardware comes with the following:
- 64-bit processor architecture
- Deep-packet inspection—OSI Layers 3 through 7
- Applications that filter and shape content
- Comprehensive, multidimensional policy and reporting capabilities
The Network Composer EX550 has an Internet connection capacity of up to 500Mb/s and more than 50,000 user licenses. If you have a larger connection or more nodes, additional models are available. Our Secure Web Gateway appliance is available with either the XLi or XLi-E operating system.

XLi Operating System:
The XLi™ operating system is the key to the Network Composer®. XLi comes in two variations. XLi and XLi-E both provide deep packet inspection, filtering and shaping as well as comprehensive multidimensional policy and reporting capabilites.
For larger organizations, XLi-E used in conjunction with Cymphonix Conductor™, adds critical features like centralized management and reporting, delegated administration, True Cache™ and high availability.

Options for the EX300 Series and above include single-mode and multi-mode fiber either with or without bypass. Also the EX320 and EX350 Series can be upgraded to include SSL hardware off-loading. The options for the EX300 Series are factory installed only and must be specified at the time of order.
The EX400, EX500 and EX600 Series have expansion bays. The cards may be purchased for field upgrade or for integration at Cymphonix. There is no charge for integration.

- The purchase of at least 1 Year of ASM is required with appliance
- ANNUAL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE - Licenses include 1 year (12 months from date of purchase) of Annual System Maintenance (ASM). Systems with a current ASM subscriptions have access to new application signatures, spyware, anti-virus, and web content/URL filtering updates, firmware releases and standard technical support by Authorized Cymphonix Resellers. Additionally, systems with a current ASM are eligible for hardware warranty service (up to a maximum of 3 years from date of purchase). Warranty service offers replacement or repair at Cymphonix's options.
- EX220 & EX250 support up to 250 nodes. EX310 supports up to 5,000 nodes. EX320 - EX600 support up to 50,000 nodes.
- Contact us for Licenses from 1,000 to 50,000 Nodes
- Upgrade Cards for EX500 and EX600 Series is not compatible with the EX400 Series.
