What is Network Revealer?

Cymphonix Network Revealer provides a demonstration version of Network Composer's award winning reporting and monitoring capabilities. Network Revealer is provided as a virtual machine that is simple to install and requires very little configuration. In about 10 minutes you will be up a running and have unprecedented visibility into your Internet traffic  including real-time traffic reporting , URL categorization, application classification and detailed user activity.  To make things even easier, Network Revealer can be used in VMware's FREE versions of Player and Server.

System Requirements:

Minimum System Requirements

Network Revealer requires the following hardware and software requirements for operation.

Hardware:

• CPU: 2GHz or higher
• Memory: 2GB or more
• Free Disk Space: 10GB or more free space
• Ethernet Adapter: 1 Ethernet NIC
• Network Switch: With support for mirror/span port option

Software:

Please be aware that Virtual machine performance can be impacted by multiple variables. For networks with more than 500 users or 45Mbps of traffic, customers should use a dedicated machine running VMware Server to eliminate the overhead of multiple operating systems.

On large networks, slow report generation or real-time monitor performance can be improved by increasing the resources available to the virtual machine or moving the virtual machine to a dedicated ESX server. In VMware Workstation or Fusion, additional processors and memory can be added to the virtual machine by selecting "edit virtual machine settings" and increasing the relevant values.
